Strand Ventures is a Myanmar based investment and advisory firm. Adopting a value added investment approach, Strand Ventures partners with local management teams to provide strategic resources to build and grow companies. Leveraging our local knowledge of Myanmar, we also seek to co-invest with established international companies.
Strand Ventures works with companies to provide and access opportunities for operational development, capital deployment and co-investment. A key element of Strand Ventures’ success is our ability to add operating value to each stage of the investment process through our management team that has a distinctly ‘hands on’ approach with an active presence on the ground. This process is backed by our partnerships with leading global private equity funds.
Strand Ventures’ professional and advisory team has broad multi-industry expertise allowing for flexibility and focus in making strategic investments in a wide range of industries. Whilst we will evaluate each deal on a case-by-case basis, Strand Ventures’ primary focus is on industries that drive the economy of a frontier market such as energy, natural resources, financial services, and tourism and hospitality. Strand Ventures manages a diversified portfolio of direct investments, balanced across growth companies and early stage business ventures active in our target sectors. Strand Ventures' investments range from minority shareholdings to wholly owned businesses.
